It can be very challenging to fight off sleep once it begins to make its presence known. And even though, for the most part, we start feeling sleepy right before bedtime and can quickly fall asleep while lying in bed, there are occasions when we get drowsy at the most inconvenient moments. Who among us hasn’t struggled with that age-old problem of dozing off while sitting on the couch? Aside from our beds, the couch is the most reassuring place in our houses, and the fact that there is typically a television not too far away contributes to the hypnotic quality that makes it easier to fall asleep there.
However, although we frequently have to resist the temptation to doze off when sitting on the couch, we most certainly do not appear nearly as adorable while doing so as our pets do. There is a video of a pit bull puppy named Pooch who is just hanging out on the couch appearing to be quite at ease. And the more he gives in to his relaxation, the more sleepy he gets.
The dog in the video looks so much like a dad dozing off while sitting on the couch that it makes the clip very amusing; the only thing that’s lacking from it is the famous remark “I’m just resting my eyes.” However, the dog’s owners are laughing uncontrollably as they film the canine. His eyes are starting to get heavy, and he keeps closing and opening them while his little head moves back and forth in an uncontrollable manner. It is abundantly clear that he requires some shut-eye.
He wakes up briefly when his head rolls back and he does so, but he soon falls asleep again. It’s something that we can all connect to since, at some point or another, we’ve all been in his shoes. It is extremely comical. You can catch a glimpse of the dozing canine in the video that follows:
