Our devoted dogs have been pent up with us over this extended period of indoor restriction. Emotions have been running wild as we’ve all had to adjust to the extraordinary amount of time we’ve been spending indoors while attempting to assist our healthcare providers in flattening the curve. Even our pets have experienced the discomfort of staying inside.
And one dog demonstrated to the world in a cute video exactly how emotional it can be for a dog to reunite with her best canine friend after a month of social isolation. The TikTok community responded to the video in an extremely emotional way. Stefani Maryn, who was filming Samantha, a black Labrador mix, as she was out for a walk, captured the event on tape. She spotted her closest friend Baldur during her adventure across the street. She naturally couldn’t keep her joy to herself.
Right away, Samantha starts to back up and pull her owner toward Bladur, who had gone for a stroll with his owner Liesl. The dog couple was momentarily reunited, and it was heartwarming to see them eagerly bark at and boop noses with one another. Stefani, who lives in Hamilton, Ontario, told the Daily Mail that Bladur and Samantha are “soulmates” and that Samantha’s favorite walk-related activity is “pulling in and licking Bladur’s face.”
The coronavirus and the following social withdrawal and stay-at-home restrictions have prevented these two canines from spending any time together, although they usually spend a lot of time together. Their first encounter in a month occurred by chance! Even the toughest of eyes will undoubtedly cry at the genuine intensity of their reunion.
“I was out for a jog the day before and ran into Liesl and Baldur on their walk,” Stefani recalled to the Daily Mail. We both agreed that Samantha would be thrilled to see Baldur, and the following day, when I walked Samantha during my lunch break from work, I could see Baldur and Liesl approaching us.
“We joked about how coincidental the reunion was and how happy they were to see each other, as we expected,” she continued. This video has received an incredibly positive response. We are delighted that their reunion and friendship have brought happiness and been relevant during this terrible time, even though neither of us imagined such a significant response.
