Some relationships are remarkable for bringing delight to others yet are difficult to completely express. Such is the bond between the dolphin and dog Zyzz. Inter-species relationships are special because they unite two entirely different animals who show a lot of love and affection for one another. It may not happen as often as you may think to find two creatures of very different species and natures together. There are numerous pairs, though, that highlight uncommon ties from all over the world.

The dog Zyzz and the bottlenose dolphin Jojo have known one other for a while. They now frequently see each other playing in the ocean. When a wild dolphin surfaced in the Turks and Caicos waters in 2013, Zyzz and his owners were on board a boat there. Most dogs might have been startled by the marine creature, but Zyzz immediately made friends with it. And from there, a friendship that has astounded people around grew.

Zyzz and Jojo have spent endless hours playing and swimming together in the waves over the past seven years. Zyzz’s owner, Mark de Fraine, claimed that when Zyzz first noticed Jojo, her dog immediately became excited and ran to the back of the boat. Jojo is known to play with other dogs, so he was thrilled to see Zyzz join in when they started circling each other and sort of playing chase, according to the witness. He continued by saying that even after seven years, the two still look forward to seeing one another.

Nearing the age of 16, Zyzz still occasionally gets viruses. His outings with Jojo have therefore diminished during the past few years. However, anytime he is on the boat, Jojo appears, and the two of them play and swim together for about an hour, according to Mark.
