Jubilee, a Siberian husky whose breeder abandoned her at a shelter in New Jersey due to her “strange” eyelid abnormality, has found a forever home after her storyline and images went viral. After caring for Jubilee for two years, the nonprofit Husky House shelter in Matawan made the difficult decision to publish a plea for prospective adopters on Facebook on Tuesday in Jubilee’s “voice.”

According to the ad, “I came from a ‘breeder’ who couldn’t sell me because he thought I was ‘strange’ looking. “Huskies have a majestic appearance, therefore I’m not sure why I don’t resemble them. I wish I was more attractive so that people would want to adopt me as their dog.

The post added, “I don’t like cats, but I enjoy other dogs.” I adore people, but I must admit that I’m a little reserved because most people laugh at how I appear. Doesn’t anyone want a husky that looks odd? I wish I had my own family who would accept me despite my lack of beauty.

According to the shelter, Jubilee has a congenital birth abnormality of her eyelids, which has no impact on her health or vision. She had never before had an adoption application submitted. Jubilee will be heading home to a loving family, the shelter said on Saturday after the post had received more than 40,000 shares.

The shelter tweeted, “Thanks to everyone who shared Jubilee’s story. She has joined her new fur siblings in a lovely new life after finding her forever home with previous Husky House adopters! To keep the followers of the now-famous pooch in the loop, Jubilee’s new parents decided to create a Facebook page for her. The dog is described as “a uniquely lovely furbaby” on the page.
