Although it was taking some time, Hazel was looking for her forever home. Finding the ideal home can be difficult for even the loveliest pit bulls, and adding a condition like blindness can make it considerably harder. Hazel was residing in a caring foster home while she awaited the discovery of her future family. Although she had never met her foster family, she was aware of her affection for them and their love for her.

The furniture in their home was secured so that Hazel wouldn’t run into anything, and her foster parents made sure that no unforeseen impediments were left out each night. They practiced with her using verbal cues to guide her and keep her safe. Although Hazel was a wonderful dog in every way, her foster family believed that she was hiding a part of herself. They had last received the good news they had been anticipating and waiting for: Hazel’s surgery to reverse her blindness had been authorized!

She underwent surgery at the animal hospital, and it was a success. Her foster parents were informed that Hazel would need time to regain her vision after the treatment, yet it was clear that she was already seeing. It was such a beautiful moment when she first saw her foster parents! She finally had a chance to comprehend them after spending so much time with them.

Hazel not only got her vision back, but she also developed newfound life confidence. She crossed the street and played with toys with a little bit more enthusiasm. Now that she is no longer blind, she even plays fetch! Following her adoption, Hazel seemed to be prospering with her new family and her vision.
