This rambunctious little bulldog pup’s name is Kirby, and he just had his biggest desire come true. Martha Roelkey, who owns Kirby, is a die-hard supporter of the football team representing the University of Georgia, which is called the Bulldogs, as you might have guessed. It should come as no surprise that Kirby has developed into an enthusiastic supporter of the team as well. He has a soft spot in his heart for the school’s official mascot, which is a human-sized dog that looks exactly like him.

Kirby and his owner were at a game when, to the pup’s pleasure, that cherished mascot materialized in front of them in real blood. Kirby completely lost it and dashed over to congratulate his hero. According to what Roelkey shared with The Dodo, “He was in heaven.” “He just couldn’t get enough.”

Blane Marable, the photographer who captured the adorable video clip seen above, explained to The Dodo that the dog went up to him and immediately began leaping on him. “They played for a few minutes altogether. It was clear that the puppy was making an effort to kiss his face while wearing the mask. It was adorable in its way.”

Roelkey continued by saying, “He believed he was a huge chew toy.” It was a moment that Kirby won’t forget for a long time to come. Because of everything that happened throughout that exciting day, the rambunctious puppy was completely worn out by the time it reached the evening.
Marable shared with The Dodo that the news “brought a lot of delight.” “It was well worth it if it was able to put a smile on the face of even one person.”
This video captures that sweet moment perfectly:
