Even though he’s just 10 months old, a Golden Retriever named Larry already has a passion for retrieving just about everything. And just recently, he managed to get himself into an interesting predicament that had his family perplexed at first, but soon had them howling with laughter.
After noticing that Larry’s fur was stained with blue and crimson throughout, Lauren Duffy immediately became concerned about what her dog had been up to. She followed the path of color from the kitchen out into the yard, where she discovered a large number of wax crayons — that’s right, crayons — melted into the grass.
It turns out that Duffy’s two younger children, ages 2 and 4, were coloring at a table when wicked Larry hopped up, grabbed some crayons, and then ran away with them into the yard. They turned into goo as a result of the intense sun in Arizona. And Larry, being Larry, rolled his eyes in their direction.
Even after three washes, Larry is still covered in a blue stain. According to comments made by Duffy to Arizona’s 12 News, “I can’t look at him right now without giggling.” Duffy’s daughter, who is just four years old, is concerned that Larry’s new fur color may be here to stay. This is the one person who is not laughing. She has been inquiring with her mother, “Is he going to be blue for the rest of his life?”
It’s nice to have a chuckle wherever you can, which is why Duffy wanted to share the hilarious video with everyone on social media, and he told the media outlet, “It’s good to get a laugh wherever you can.”
