Are you sick of hearing how naturally hostile cats and dogs are? I suppose the majority of people who have these two creatures at home are aware of how untrue this is! Dogs and cats can become friends, and they can even become best friends and excellent mess partners!

Corbin, a Great Dane who is the best foster parent ever, servesĀ as evidence of the wonderful friendship between cats and dogs. This 150-pound dog is a gentle giant who is happiest when with puppies and kittens.
With a weight of 150 pounds, Corbin is a massive man. Because of his size, the dog can occasionally appear menacing and frightening to certain people, but Corbin’s mother, Karen, assures us that he wouldn’t harm a fly. The majority of the kittens Corbin helps foster weigh less than half a pound. Amazingly, this cuddly monster is 300 times larger than the kittens.

“Corbin is the most chill love bug there is. He is incredibly laid back and warm. He enjoys being outside and taking walks. Our 30 acres of forest, meadows, streams, and ponds were acquired when we recently moved into a new home. Just taking a stroll is one of his favorite pastimes. He occasionally lopes around the farm on all fours like an uncoordinated fool. But he is so happy. It’s so cute.

He also loves other animals a much. If a dog or cat is willing, he will play with them both. In addition, he has a keen interest in other creatures like rabbits and squirrels. He stays clear of them. Just seeing them makes him happy. He enjoys caring for kittens, and he gets quite enthusiastic whenever we have children around. Also a water lover, he enjoys retrieving the sticks I toss into the lake or pond. He enjoys nothing more than playing in the ocean and racing around the beach.

Karen claims that Corbin is typically the one to approach the kittens first. He will enter the room and search for the new kittens when we have them. He will prod an immobile one with his snout if he spots one. When they are young, they frequently lack the maturity to fear him and will begin to engage with him. Older kittens frequently flee from him. He is wise enough to know to lie down and wait if that occurs. He’ll lie to them while observing them. Because of his patience, they eventually start to wonder about him and come to look into him. His restraint never fails to impress me. They will approach him while he is still and sniff his paws or tickle his tail. They soon come to appreciate his gentleness, and the bond starts.

Corbin doesn’t eat all that much, according to Karen, despite his size. He most likely consumes 4-6 cups of dog chow each day. I understand that’s more than other dogs, but he doesn’t cost anything other than food. I don’t give him goodies, and he doesn’t seem to need boots or jackets. Toys don’t hold any appeal for him. He does, however, prefer to sleep with his head on a pillow. He is simply a content youngster who enjoys being among people and animals. He enjoys receiving and giving love.

Due to his size, Corbin is clumsy. The family initially kept Corbin away from the kittens out of concern that the dog could trip over one. They were aware that he wouldn’t intentionally hurt them. But when the family decided to let him get close to the kittens, they had to take into account his size.
Corbin enjoys playing with and being around the kittens because he loves them all. Because of how kind Corbin is, Karen expressed her happiness that he is their dog. The dog has truly evolved into the ideal mother cat.
