Raven was not in the least bit concerned about finding a new best buddy at the shelter. After all, this was a commitment that would last a lifetime. Raven was still a puppy at the time. Last August, she was at an animal shelter in Lubbock, Texas, selecting a kitten with whom she could grow old.
So four kittens were brought before Raven one by one. Some of them were uninterested. Raven’s soft nuzzling was unappreciated by others. Except for one kitten. That One would be Woodhouse.
“I’d always wanted a dog and a cat to share my life. It’s almost like achieving a life ambition “Christina, her owner, told The Dodo that she didn’t want her last name published. And it couldn’t have worked out any better in this scenario.
Raven, a Tamaskan husky, arrived as a puppy at Christina’s house in July. Christina started on the hunt for a kitten to be Raven’s new best friend a month later. You don’t, however, choose a person’s best buddy for them.
Christina recalls, “I wanted them to be able to get along nicely.” “As a result, I wanted her to meet the cat and have the cat get along with the dog.” The two are now inseparable. “They complement each other perfectly. They don’t cuddle nearly as much as they did as puppies and kittens. They’re always together, though, and they’re always playing together.”
She continues, “Woodhouse chases the dog around the house.” “They also enjoy playing tag.” They gather together to celebrate birthdays. They travel in a group. They share a meal. Finally, they unwind together at the end of the day. Because some things never change.
