Buttons, a rehabilitated deer, make friends with Laurie’s golden retriever G-bro. The dog and the deer had known each other for almost eleven years, having grown up together. Buttons and G-Bro share a particular affinity that keeps them so close together. Buttons gave birth to two reindeer recently and introduced them to her family and best pal G-Bro. The whole family was ecstatic to see the reindeer.
G-Bro adores fawns of all sizes. He spends a lot of time with them and looks after them like a mother. Buttons have become so loyal to the doe that she brings the fawns back every spring. Lorrie recognized that G-Bro and Buttons shared a special link and that they were like family to one other. In the eleven years, they’ve been together, they’ve grown up together and built a strong friendship.

G-Bro and Buttons, she believes, have an unusual friendship in which they are completely at ease around each other. G-Bro, according to Lorrie, enjoys being washed by Buttons. He would simply sit in front of her and let her lick him to keep him clean. Even Buttons enjoys licking and washing G-Bro, as Lorrie always catches her doing. He adores Buttons and demands her undivided attention. Even Buttons adores him. She’ll simply show up at Lorrie’s front door to say hello. If no one answers the door, she will paw at the entrance to let everyone know she is there.

G-Bro and Buttons’ favorite thing to do together is go hiking. They enjoy hanging out in the snow and playing in it. Buttons was a deer that had been hit by an automobile and had to be rescued. Lorrie had been contacted about Buttons and had decided to assist. She desired for the deer to live in the wild and for her to become a member of the family. G-Bro and Buttons, she believes, are fortunate to have each other.
