It’s a sweet and heartwarming film that shows a previously blind dog seeing its owner for the first time. It’s a lovely reminder to value our pets’ health, especially because we frequently take things like flawless vision for granted.
Olive is a cocker spaniel from the Spanish island of Mallorca. Her owners rescued her as a blind stray. Despite her handicap, her owners provided her with a happy and caring environment. However, her owners questioned if there was anything further they could do to help their dog. That’s when the pair decided to help Olive see again by arranging for her to get eye surgery to correct her blindness.
Olive was allowed to walk out of her veterinarian’s clinic with a new lease on life after three years of blindness. The delighted canine was astounded by her improved vision as well as all the new sights she could see. While she was thrilled to be able to explore the world, it was her owners who made the small puppy truly happy. Her little tail went into overdrive when she saw them for the first time. Witnessing it was an emotionally fraught experience.
Olive’s owners, Holly and Bart Emmerson, were similarly astounded to see Olive utilize her sight for the first time. They couldn’t seem to get past it. Their favorite canine could now sight! Olive’s attention and affection were much appreciated by them. “Her eyes are so different,” Bart and Holly said as they got a better look at her. They’re completely black.”
There was no disputing that the trio – particularly Olive – had a lot of happy adjustments ahead of them. For the first time, the adorable little black puppy was overjoyed at being able to see everything. She had a lot of space to explore the world. And we’re sure she’s making the most of her newfound ability. Hopefully, this film will remind us all to be grateful for our sight — being able to see the lovely world around us is truly a gift.
