Maisy, a rescued Pit Bull, had to say things to her mother all day long. Her mother is overjoyed to hear her adorable dog conversing with her because the two have a regular discussion! Maisy’s mother describes her as a “very chatty doggo” when she is overjoyed. Maisy and her mother, Marisa Elbert, didn’t always have it easy.
Maisy has been living alone in a kennel for the past three years. Her former family had disregarded her, only bringing her out to attempt to breed her and euthanizing her if she couldn’t become pregnant. They thought she was ugly and that feeding her was a waste of money. Thankfully, a family friend stepped in and helped her get to an animal shelter.
Elbert had lately had three losses, so a friend tagged her on social media to look at Maisy. Elbert had fallen in love with Maisy and felt she had to bring her home. Her 13-year-old Pit Bull, her father, and then her mother all passed away within a year of each other.
Maisy and her mother are both life celebrators, and Maisy is precisely what Elbert required in her life. “I needed something to cheer me up,” she told The Dodo. So, Maisy, it appears that you and your mother have found a happy ending.
