He started putting up flyers and searching shelters as soon as he found the dogs were missing. He had no idea where they were or in which direction they had gone, so he had no choice but to look everywhere.
The dogs had been missing for several days before fate intervened. Hernandez stopped to visit the shelter after receiving a call that they had taken the dogs there. His two huskies were posing for a picture session outside the shelter!
A few days after Hernandez lost the dogs, Ocean Drive Magazine was doing a photoshoot at a local shelter. The purpose of the photo session was to raise adoption awareness and draw attention to the dogs at the city’s shelters.
The two stunning stars, aka the missing huskies, were getting their photos made to help them get adopted when Hernandez pulled up. With their lovely fur and bright blue eyes, the photographer thought they’d look great on a website or magazine cover.
When Hernandez arrived, a volunteer was holding the dogs and the photographer was filming the shoot. His two puppies seemed to be in their own world, soaking up the attention and relishing the occasion.
When a car pulled up in front of the camera, the crew heard the explanation, “Those are my dogs!” He didn’t even park his car, instead running to his dogs and got his head in their fur, overtaken with sorrow, as if it were a scene from a heartbreaking movie.
Sandy’s dogs were happy to see him, and the team was overjoyed that Sandy had been reunited with his dogs. He even showed them flyers that he’d been distributing throughout Miami. The joyful family returned home to enjoy their happy reunion.
