It all started when a starving stray dog peered into the window of a Peruvian restaurant called Ajilalo. Gerardo Ortiz, the restaurant owner, witnessed the dog’s hunger and was moved by compassion, so he prepared a special dinner for her.
The hungry dog began arriving for her evening meal the next day, which she paid for with a wag of her tail. The thankful dog could have been turned away at any time, but Mr. Ortiz developed a nightly habit of feeding him.
The puppy must have spread the word about the delicious meal served at Ajialo, because more strays began to appear at the restaurant’s door. Of course, they were given a supper as well.
Every night, more homeless dogs showed up to dine in style as the days passed. Many customers became regulars, and newcomers were never turned away. Mr. Ortiz’s kindness ensured that all of the canines who arrived were fed.
Mr. Ortiz claims that his furry visitors are his best customers. Mr. Ortiz feeds all of the puppies, and he doesn’t mind if he sees a new puppy peering through the window, hoping the canine rumor mill is true: you’ll be treated with kindness and fed by Mr. Ortiz.
They’re the best clients, in my opinion,” Ortiz told The Dodo. Mr. Ortiz isn’t the only one who treats the dogs with kindness. Soon after, his customers began bringing food for the dogs to eat. Customers, thankfully, appreciate the restaurant’s compassion for the hungry strays. “Thankfully,” Ortiz said, “our clients have reacted nicely to the dogs.” “They have a soft spot for them.”
Mr. Ortiz is clearly an animal lover, and he has made a difference in the lives of the pets. Of course, it would be ideal if they could all find loving homes, but thanks to Mr. Ortiz and his amazing clients, they are shown love, kindness, and go to bed each night with some full tummies.
