The reality shows that puppies pick up a lot from their surroundings. Actually, they learn how to engage with the world around them by observing and playing with their siblings and mother from an early age. As adolescents grow older, much of their conduct is influenced by their observations and life experiences.

Mako, the cute puppy in our story, grew up to be an Olympic climber, which comes as no surprise. Mako grew raised watching two cats soar to amazing heights that he decided to emulate them.

Mako saw his kitty friends climbing onto the counters and the refrigerator and figured he could do the same. He didn’t let the fact that he’s a dog get in the way of his goals. He quickly began demonstrating his abilities by following the cats on their escapades above the floor.

While some dogs will sneak onto the counter, the majority of dogs will not attempt to climb on top of the refrigerator. Mako, however, does! This four-legged wonder dog isn’t afraid of heights and enjoys looking down on the world from his amazing vantage point.

The Castillers, who own Makos, recounted how it felt the first time they saw Mako leap up on the fridge: “I didn’t realise until I actually saw him hop atop the fridge that dogs can just smoothly jump like that.” For those who are curious in how he gets up there. It’s straightforward.

Mako reaches the fridge by leaping from the floor to the counter and then to the top. He also hops on top of tables and counters on a daily basis. “We rescued him from a shelter. They said he was so good with cats, but they never said anything about him acting like one!”

Mako enjoys surprising his family by taking them on walks in strange locations. His family jokes that he prefers to spend time with the cats to spending time with them. They must, however, take care not to leave food out on the counters, since nothing is off limits for this lovely creature!
