It’s the perfect social dream for any dog, with exciting games and engaging hangouts with other canine buddies. The Den Doggy Daycare in Burlington, Ontario, has published the footage below, which lovingly records the exploits of their most eccentric pooch, Ruby!
Ruby is a German short-haired Pointer who comes to the daycare with her brother Miles on a regular basis. While Miles prefers to be alone, Ruby is an outgoing social butterfly. The personnel find it amusing as she never keeps her paws to herself and is always “petting” and “stroking” other dogs during her stay!
Pawing at humans or other dogs is thought to be a gesture for dogs to get attention or initiate playfulness, but Ruby has a whole different interpretation of this simple movement. She used to just pet Miles as a way of keeping an eye on him. However, she was approaching other dogs in the centre and literally drowning them in soothing scratches on their heads and backs!
The other dogs were first perplexed by Ruby’s proclivity for touching them. But, with time, they simply grew accustomed to her constant pampering! Now, none of the dogs seem to mind and are content to “let it happen.” Ruby is one of the most popular dogs at the daycare, which comes as no surprise. We adore a dog that offers joy and happiness to both humans and pets!
