Jason Bos, a retired Army Sergeant, and his military dog Cici have a very special relationship. They served together on over 100 missions and for over 5 years, protecting and providing much-needed love and company to one other.
Cici was in charge of bomb detection and was on the military frontlines all over the world, defending her fellow soldiers from unexpected situations in places like Germany, Kuwait, and Iraq. The military concluded Cici’s duty wasn’t done when Sergeant Bos was returned home. She would spend another year in war-torn areas.
Sergeant Bos thrilled at the chance to reunite with Cici when she was finally retired and began the process of officially adopting her so she could live with him indefinitely. Bos, as well as dozens of reporters, were waiting for her at the airport when she finally arrived home. Her touching story had piqued the interest of local news outlets.
Cici recognizes Bos’s voice before she ever sees him in this footage, and she leaps with pleasure to see her old pal again. We’re overjoyed that this moment was captured on camera.
