When three newborn kittens were abandoned off at Pickens County Animal Shelter in Jasper, Georgia, the staff was concerned. At the shelter, there was just one mama cat, who had her hands full nursing her own large babies. But when Mary, a Beagle Mix, found out about the situation, she couldn’t help herself!
Because her owner didn’t want the “burden” of a large doggie family, Mary was also abandoned at the shelter with her own newborn litter. To cope with her grief, Mary focused all of her energy on being the greatest mother she could to her seven puppies. So when Mary discovered the three motherless kittens, she jumped at the chance to foster them!
In this video, we see Mary keeping a close eye on the kittens as they are fed one by one by a shelter worker. The overly protective doggie mama ensures that her kittens are well fed before lovingly snatching them away from the worker. She carries the kittens to her kennel and nestles them among her sleeping puppies. Every moment Mary’s kittens aren’t in her line of vision, she gets a panic!
Mary raised her ten children excellently with her sincere love, kindness, and kisses. According to the shelter, the entire furry family has now been adopted! We are really proud of this wonderful mother dog. Dogs’ hearts are so accepting and altruistic, and it’s incredible how they can love without limits!
